The pairs play downs is a multi-day tournament, length and format dependent on the number of entries. The winning teams will represent the Northwest Division at the US Championships. Formats for this tournament will be Round Robin (8 or fewer entries) or Double Elimination (9 or more entries). In Round Robin all teams will face each other once, playing up to two games a day, up to 7 games in total. In Double Elimination all teams will play a minimum of two games and will be eliminated upon their 2nd loss. Either format can last up to the 5 days allotted for this event.
In keeping with National Championship protocols there will be no practice (apart from trial bowls) prior to games.
Rinks will be reserved for practice on Thursday afternoon, June 27 between 4 and 8 pm.
All entries will receive an email confirming their place in the draw on Wednesday night (8/20/25).
*In the case of a Double Elimination Format the draw could effect the time of your first game on Saturday.
In the Round Robin Format the draw will only effect the order in which you play your opponents.
